Image Processing

Newer DSLRs have very powerful processors capable of performing really complex photo manipulation in-camera. This has allowed camera manufacturers to add HDR and panorama features to cameras. These features are convenient for the casual user, but they’re not for enthusiasts because they give you very little control over how the processing is done, and often they simply do a terrible job of processing the pictures. Therefore, I would never recommend one model over another because of the presence of HDR, panoramas, or other image-processing special effects. Instead, I would recommend the photographer do the processing on his or her computer.
