Hello again! We reviewed your fun (and some not-so-fun) color photos this week and we got some creative ones! But not your Autumn scenes. Those were not creative. I deleted them.
- We’re still testing out the Sony A7sII with Sony 28-135, so far pretty amazing in low-light
- YouTube Red is on it’s way so you can pay $10/month to watch videos without ads
- Leica Safari Set: what. why.
- Leica SL. better, but go with the Sony A7R IIÂ instead
We start reviewing photos at 10:51. Lots of drug references this week due to trippy colors.
- Five stars and a pick for this oil in water macro.
- A pick for this lovely, moody shot as well.
- Space noodle
- Leaf face
- Alien rave
More PhotoNews:
- Elmer Fudd was a photographer. But they were all racist back then too, so whatever.
- Mitakon 135mm f/1.4, 100 copies only! You can get a picture of this sad guy.
- Are Sony A-mounts dead?
I read some of your questions:
- please give us your monies.
- Stop appropriating oppressed people groups.
Back to your photos!
- Justin and Chelsea know fun colors, and so does this marble heart
- Marble people, everywhere
- What even is happening here, you weird genius
- Rustic
- Good tips on dehazing a photo through a fence here
- Not-fun colors. Nazi trees?
- Lovely aurora borealis
- Mr. Garbanzo?
- “Fresh” DJ
- 5 stars for grass
- Fyn knows Chelsea can’t resist the running man
- Winter is Coming
Aaaand back to me for your questions
- Why go mirrorless?
- Lens adapters?
- Advice for investing in new gear, the Sammy Hagar way
More news?! No. Chit Chat!
- Are you a Chris or a Jordan?
- A T&C success story
- “says the guy in the bowtie“
- Chelsea and I both suffer from RBF: (NSFW, swearing)
Ok, now more news:
- no more batteries over 100 watts on planes!
- register them drones, and get on with the pizza delivery
Smaakjeks gets my portfolio pick for the night.
Back to photo reviews here
- A pick for Bill Peppas!
- And lightshark
- This is a great shot all around
- I don’t even know about this kid
- This is two types of shots
- Then there’s this Warhol/Brady Bunch mashup
More questions from you and MAN is this going on for a long time. So many bullet points, I’m gonna speed round this wrap-up! Chelsea keeps cycling through photos as Tony answers, this one was a standout. As is this stunner! Then the stream dies for a minute and cuts back in to me talking to Chelsea about moving. Oops. We move on to a speed round. Here’s a good one.
And we’re done! Next week submit your spoOooOoky photos!

Wow Siobhan, you are fast!! I like this new format for the roundups, very easy to follow minute by minute, and the abundance of links are very helpful. That being said, you don’t have to make them so detailed. We all appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into this, but I hope that you aren’t overworking yourself! These roundups seem like lot of labor on top of everything else you already do, I just hope that everything is going alright. These roundups are a privilege for us, not a necessity, so don’t feel any obligation to spend multiple hours on them. Thanks for all the dedicated work that you provide for Northrup Photography, sometimes I just worry about how much you work!
Sincerely,
Kyle Wolfe
Thanks Siobhan.
Missed the live show but learned two important things from the recording:-
(I already knew about respect for other cultures but no harm in Chelsea and you reminding us – good one).
1. The A7Rii autofocus on a Sony lens is as good as a DSLR
2. Drones are gonna be as big as magnetic boots.
I think the question on everybodies lips is…
How many drones would it take to lift a fully grown adult plus armchair to, say, 10,000 feet, and how long would the batteries last ?
You are witty and concise as always
Regards,
Rod
I love these recaps. 🙂
Awesome job, Siobhan!
The running man hahah. Great recap Sio 😀
Awesome work as usual Siobhan!
Your contribution to the show & the community in general is invaluable 🙂
